The Mission & Vision of Faith Fellowship ...

The mission of Faith Fellowship does not stop at our unyielding belief in scripture.  We believe the church must follow in the footsteps of Christ and humbly serve where they see the Father at work.  In a sense...
"Being Jesus With Skin On!"

What kind of church do we envision?

  • This will be a church that has its sole focus on the Kingdom of God. We believe that what the world needs is not another church that is politically active or caught up with committees and traditionalism... but a church that follows in the footsteps of Christ and humbly serves where they see the Father at work.

  • This will be a church that reflects the diversity in people that make up our Communities. We will not favor any one type of person, racially, economically or for any other reason. We will honor all people as members of the Kingdom of God. Scripture says that Heaven will be made up of every tribe and tongue and so we want this church to reflect that.

  • This will be a church that is people centered and not program centered. When people walk in they will feel welcome and not a number to plug into a program. Our vision is to have a church that feels like a family.

  • This church will have a passion for reaching out to the community through servant evangelism. An outward focus will prevail the attitude, thinking, and planning of this church.

  • This church will constantly be looking for ways to keep things fresh. That is we don’t have to do the same thing twice the same way if we don’t want to. Church should be fun and even exciting and to that end will look for ways to keep our collective walk with the Lord fresh. (Not that we will be a slave to change just for the sake of change).

  • This church will seek to foster Spirit led and unquenchable worship. This worship will pervade not just our Sunday morning time but all that we do. If we do it, we do it as a pleasing sacrifice of worship to the Lord.

  • This church will be dedicated to discipleship. Jesus’ final command was to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Therefore, we shall strive to teach and obey everything that Jesus has commanded.

  • This church will be dedicated to the ministry of inner healing. Through the power and authority given to us by the Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit we will actively seek to set captives free.

Our Core Values: The Distinctives, A Biblical perspective

  • A Radical Commitment to Christ and The Kingdom of God:

Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple. 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.

  • A Radical Commitment to Multicultural Ministry:

Gal 3:26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Ephesians 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

  • A Radical Commitment to Evangelism and Discipleship:

Matt 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Luke 10:2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.

  • A Radical Commitment to Serving One Another;
In the Community and in the Church:

Matt 10:7 As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

  • A Radical Commitment to Authentic Worship:

John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." Psalm 150:1 Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

  • A radical commitment to the teaching and preaching of the Word of God:

2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

  • A Radical Commitment to Ministry in the Spirit:

Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." 6 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." John 16:12 "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

Note: These items are not numbered because we don’t want to imply a hierarchy.
They are to be considered and applied to the church equally.

In conclusion...

This is a church that is centered on people and not programs. So often the business of church programs just covers up the hurt and pain people feel. We want this to be a church where people can find real freedom and healing in the Lord. Relationships with God and each other, inner healing, and discipleship will be the key to what this church is about.

Mission Statement: To be followers of Christ who actively live out all that we believe. (We’re tired of churches that only talk about what they believe. To be believers of the Word it is necessary to be doers of the Word (James 1:22-25) ).    "Being Jesus With Skin On!"

This Churches Ministry Style: The overall ministry style of the church will be a hands-on and everybody gets to play style. Ministry will not be limited to a few but we believe that God has gifted each of us to be ministers to one another. This will be a very relational church where relationships come first before programs.
